NO CHANGE IN YEAR-END HOLIDAY PASSENGER VOLUME AT LAX COMPARED TO LAST YEAR
(Los Angeles, California – December 21, 2011)  Passenger volume at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) remains unchanged this holiday travel period with 2.9 million passengers compared to the same volume in 2010, according to airport officials.

FACEBOOK NAMES LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT “MOST SOCIAL AIRPORT IN THE WORLD”
(Los Angeles, California – December 13, 2011) Facebook today named Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) the “Most Social Airport in the World,” based on more people checking-in via Facebook or third-party location applications while at LAX than at any other airport in the world.  Launched in 2009, the LAX Facebook page (www.facebook.com/LAInternationalAirport) today has nearly 39,200 fans.

LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS APPROVES LETTER OF AGREEMENT, ALLOCATES $5.6 MILLION TO CITY OF EL SEGUNDO FOR RESIDENTIAL SOUNDPROOFING

LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS TO PURCHASE MORE CNG-FUELED TRUCKS

(Los Angeles, California – August 15, 2011)  Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today approved a contract to purchase four utility trucks and five pick-up trucks fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG) to replace similar fossil-fuel-powered vehicles in use at Los Angeles International (LAX) and LA/Ontario International (ONT) airports.

LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT REPORTS PASSENGER LEVEL UP 5.4 PERCENT DURING FIRST HALF OF 2011

(Los Angeles, California – August 8, 2011)  Passenger volume at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) between January and June 2011 rose 5.4 percent to 29,873,434 passengers from 28,337,001 during the same period last year, according to air traffic statistics issued by airport officials.  International passengers grew four percent during the first six months of 2011 to 8,090,693 from 7,772,965 last year.  Domestic traffic grew 5.9 percent to 21,782,741 passengers this year from 20,564,036 in 2010.
