YOUTH TAKE FLIGHT 2001 SUMMER ART ACADEMY TO BRING STUDENTS TOGETHER WITH ARTS, AVIATION, AND COMMUNITY

JANISSE BECOMES LAWA CONCESSIONS AND PROPERTY EXECUTIVE

LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND FAA TO HOLD SUMMER AVIATION PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
(Los Angeles, California -- June 27, 2001) Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the Aero Club of California are co-sponsoring this year's Aviation Career Education (ACE) free, week-long educational program for local-area high school students to introduce them to careers in aviation. The program will be held August 6 -10 and is in addition to two Junior ACEACE Academy weeks scheduled in July for middle school students.

CONTRACTS AWARDED FOR RESIDENTIAL SOUNDPROOFING NEAR LAX
(Los Angeles, California -- June 26, 2001) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today awarded two contracts for residential soundproofing near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). One contract, valued at $1,215,000, was awarded to P.B.C., Inc. of Seattle, WA. The second contract, valued at $1,090,672, was awarded to F.H. Paschen/S.N. Nielsen, Inc. of Santa Fe Springs.

LAWA NAMES FRANKLIN STERLING AS CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

(Los Angeles, CA -- June 21, 2001) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) has named Franklin M. Sterling, P.E., as Chief Information Officer. Sterling will be responsible for LAWA's Information Technology Division overseeing the information system and telecommunications functions at LAWA's four airports.

JOHN DUNLOP TO LEAD LAWA HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION
