LAX GATEWAY TURNS 10!
Los Angeles  (October 25, 2010) – Los Angeles International Airport’s  (LAX's) Gateway, one of the most recognizable landmarks in Los Angeles, officially turned 10 on Monday.  Councilmembers Tom LaBonge and Bill Rosendahl joined airport officials to applaud the organizations charged with the gateway’s design and construction.

LAX AIRPORT GUIDES FOR PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES NOW AVAILABLE

LOS ANGELES CITY COUNCIL APPROVES LAX CONCESSIONS CONTRACTS; TRANSFORMATION OF AGING TERMINAL CONCESSIONS TO BEGIN IN JANUARY
(Los Angeles, California – October 20, 2010)  The Los Angeles City Council today approved contracts for new concessions at Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX). The 10-year contracts include four food-and-beverage packages and four retail packages for LAX Terminals 4, 5, 7 and 8.    Almost all of the new concession concepts are based in the City of Los Angeles or Southern California.

LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT HOSTS “PULL FOR OUR HEROES” PLANE PULL 2010
LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT) and the Friends of Ontario Airport will host the 2nd annual Plane Pull fundraiser a “Pull for Our Heroes” benefitting the Ontario USO.  The event will also benefit other non-profit organizations including the Friends of Ontario Airport, Travelers Aid of the Inland Empire, Baldy View ROP Foundation and ONT’s educational outreach programs.

OASIS OF LIGHT ART EXHIBIT WELCOMES INTERNATIONAL PASSENGERS AT THE TOM BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL AT LAX
(Los Angeles, California – October 6, 2010)  Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), in partnership with the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, announces a new exhibition at The Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) titled Dappled Light by Los Angeles-based artist Ken Marsh in collaboration with architect Roger Bennett showcasing site-specific work consisting of colored lenses supported by wires that project and reflect multihued shapes and shadows, welcoming international travelers in their transition between terminals.

IBERIA TO RESUME AIR SERVICE BETWEEN LOS ANGELES AND MADRID; NEW FLIGHTS EXPECTED TO GENERATE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN ANNUAL REGIONAL ECONOMIC ACTIVITY
    (Los Angeles, California – October 6, 2010)  Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa today cheered the announcement today that Iberia will resume nonstop service next April from Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX) to Madrid, Spain, with four weekly flights.  Iberia last served LAX from 1984 to 1997.
