LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LAUNCHES CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR EMPLOYEES DURING HOLIDAY TRAVEL SEASON

LAX is the FirstAirport on the West Coast to Participate in Program

LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO CLOSE PARKING LOT 3

Ontario, California (December 9, 2009) – Effective January 11, 2010, LA/Ontario International Airport’s (ONT) Lot 3 will close to public parking. 

Passengers and visitors who normally use Lot 3 are encouraged to park in Lot 5, located just east of Terminal 4.  Lot 5 is priced lower than other on-airport lots at only $9 per day.

(Los Angeles- December 7, 2009) An agreement was announced today between Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security which secured $150 million in federal funds for a key security project at Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX).

CALIFORNIA AIRPORTS JOIN TOGETHER TO FORM CALIFORNIA AIRPORTS COUNCIL LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL TO COLLABORATE WITH GROUP

LAX FLYAWAY® NONSTOP BUS SERVICE TO IRVINE FORMALLY INAUGURATED; NEW SERVICE DESIGNED TO BE CONVENIENT, DIRECT AND AFFORDABLE

COMPUTER GLITCH HAS LITTLE TO NO IMPACT AT LAX
The outage and subsequent re-activation of a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight plan system for pilots this morning on the east coast is not expected to significantly impact flights at Los AngelesInternationalAirport. The computer glitch had no other impact to airport or terminal operations. Passengers are still advised to contact their respective airlines for the latest news.

THANKSGIVING TRAVEL AT LAX TO REACH 1.49 MILLION PASSENGERS; LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL TO TOTAL 123,500 PASSENGERS

-- TRAFFIC ADVISORY -- LAX ANNOUNCES LANE CLOSURES OF SOUTHBOUND SEPULVEDA TUNNEL
(Los Angeles, California November 16, 2009) The California Department of Transportation notified Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX) of its lane closures due to storm drain maintenance on the southbound side of the Sepulveda Tunnel.  The closure will affect two lanes between Century Boulevard and Imperial Highway nightly through Wednesday, November 18, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
