LOS ANGELES AIRPORT EXPECTS 700,000 TRAVELERS OVER LABOR DAY WEEKEND
(Los Angeles, California -- August 29, 2003)  Nearly 700,000 passengers are expected to move through Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) over the four-day Labor Day weekend -- mirroring last year's Labor Day travel volume.  The busiest days are expected to be Friday, August 29, and Monday, Sept. 1, when airlines are forecasting passenger load factors will be above 90 percent.

MAYOR HAHN ANNOUNCES SELECTION OF KIM DAY AS INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS
Los Angeles -- Mayor Jim Hahn announced his selection of Kim Day as Interim Executive Director of Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), the city department that operates Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and three other airports. Day will succeed Lydia H. Kennard who announced earlier this week she is leaving LAWA to pursue opportunities in the private sector.

BOARD OF AIRPORT COMMISSIONERS EXTENDS PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
