MAYOR JIM HAHN ANNOUNCES $225-MILLION UPGRADE OF TOM BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL AT LAX
(Los Angeles, California - December 8, 2003) Los Angeles Mayor Jim Hahn today announced a $225-million project to renovate the interior of the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for improved operational efficiency and enhanced customer satisfaction. Nearly 40 percent of the estimated cost is allocated to security and safety upgrades.

CONTRACT AWARDED FOR RESIDENTIAL SOUNDPROOFING NEAR LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

(Los Angeles, California -- November 4, 2003) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners has awarded Professional Building Contractors, Inc. (PBC) of El Segundo, California, a contract for residential soundproofing near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The $1,094,800.00 contract will cover sound-insulation modifications on 91 dwelling units located within the noise-impacted area in Los Angeles City Council District 11.

MEDIA ADVISORY ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OPEN AND OPERATING NORMALLY
Ontario, California (October 24, 2003) - Ontario International Airport (ONT) is open and operating under normal conditions. The fires in the Rancho Cucamonga and Fontana areas, which are within 15 miles of the airport, are not affecting flights. Travelers and visitors coming to and from the airport via the 15 and 210 freeways, however, are advised to check traffic conditions near the 15 and 210 intersection.
