ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TAXIWAY PROJECT WILL TEMPORARILY IMPACT AIRCRAFT CONTRA-FLOW OPERATIONS
Ontario, California (November 25, 2002) - Ontario International Airport's (ONT) Taxiway N Westerly Extension project will interrupt the airport's contra-flow operations starting December 3 for approximately two weeks and again beginning the first week of March 2003 for 60 days. Contra-flow occurs when arriving aircraft at ONT land to the west and take off to the east from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. to mitigate noise above areas outlying the airport in the City of Ontario. At all other times, aircraft at ONT normally land and take off in a westerly direction.
