LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ANNOUNCES NEW FLIGHTS

(Ontario, Calif. – September 5, 2008) -- In the wake of airline scheduling cutbacks, Great Lakes Airlines is adding flights at LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT).  Beginning Sept. 8, Great Lakes starts service to Visalia and Merced in California, and Prescott and Phoenix in Arizona.  The airline will use Beechcraft 1900D aircraft.

CONTRACT AWARDED FOR RESIDENTIAL SOUNDPROOFING NEAR LAX

(Los Angeles, California – August 18, 2008)   The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today awarded a contract to AMD Construction Group, Inc., of Orange, CA, for a portion of the LAX Residential Soundproofing Program.  The $906,400 contract covers sound insulation modifications on 59 dwelling units, consisting of 55 condominium units and four single-family dwellings located in Los Angeles City Council District 11.

ONT EMPLOYEES HELP CITIZENS PROMOTE PUBLIC SAFETY

(ONTARIO, Calif. -- Aug. 4, 2008) -- LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT) will participate in the city of Ontario National Night Out on Aug. 5.  This is the 25th year for the national event.  From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., ONT representatives will distribute safety and crime prevention materials to passengers in the airports terminals.

AIRPORT CONDITIONS NORMAL AFTER EARTHQUAKE
After initial inspections of terminals and airfield at both LAX and ONT, operations at both airports considered normal.  There are no reports of any injuries and the only damage currently being reported is a broken water heater near Gate 71 in Terminal 7, resulting in flooding in the checked luggage preparation area.

LAX FLYAWAY BUS SERVICE AT UNION STATION TO INCREASE EARLY MORNING FREQUENCY OF BUSES TO MEET GROWING DEMAND
(Los Angeles, California – July 25, 2008)  In response to growing passenger demand for LAX FlyAway bus service at Union Station, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) officials announced additional weekday bus service during the early morning schedule to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).  The new schedule starts July 28, with additional buses in service to meet the growing demand from train and light rail commuters.
