LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT HOLDS AIREX 2007 EMERGENCY RESPONSE EXERCISE

(Ontario, Calif., -- April 4, 2007) LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT) will hold a simulated, unrehearsed, full-scale aircraft incident drill designed to test ONT’s Emergency Plan.

Approximately 100 participants from the ONT Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Department (ARFF); ONT Airfield Operations; ONT Airport Police; Ontario City Fire and Police Departments; federal aviation and law enforcement agencies; American Red Cross; local area hospital emergency rooms, medical units, and ambulance services; other mutual-aid organizations; Southwest Airlines emergency response teams will actively engage in the exercise. In addition, Los Angeles World Airports divisions including construction and maintenance, public relations, ground transportation, and risk management will also participate.

EXPRESSJET SERVICE BEGINS AT LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

(Ontario, Calif., -- April 2, 2007) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) announces the beginning of ExpressJet Airlines nonstop service to 14 new destinations from LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT).

The rollout of ExpressJet flights starts today at Terminal 2. The new flights will result in a 25-percent increase in daily departures at ONT, a 50 percent increase in total destinations and a 63-percent increase in the number of nonstop destinations available from ONT.

LAX'S THEME BUILDING EXTERIOR RENOVATION TO BEGIN; ENCOUNTER RESTAURANT CLOSED DURING PROJECT
(Los Angeles, California – March 8, 2007) The popular, space-aged themed Encounter Restaurant at the top of Los Angeles International Airport's landmark Theme Building will be closed until further notice while renovation to the upper arches is performed. Ground-level offices, the City Deli cafeteria, and the airport's commissary that provides food to the rest of the airport's concessions will remain open. The renovation project is expected to last approximately six months. However, the restaurant is expected to open much sooner.
