LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT PICKS UP NEW SERVICE TO BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON ON WESTERN AIRLINES BEGINNING JANUARY 18
(Ontario, California - January 12, 2007) Travelers using LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT) can fly nonstop on Western Airlines to Bellingham, Washington starting Jan. 18. Western will fly a 150-seat Boeing 737-400 aircraft four times a week. The airline will focus on attracting leisure travel from the Seattle area and British Columbia to Ontario.

CONTRACT AWARDED FOR RESIDENTIAL SOUNDPROOFING NEAR LAX
(Los Angeles, California – January 8, 2007) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today awarded a contract to Professional Building Contractors, Inc., of El Segundo for a portion of the LAX Residential Soundproofing Program. The $1,296,460 contract covers sound insulation modifications on 57 dwelling units comprised of five single-family residences, one nine-unit apartment building, and 43 condominium units located in Los Angeles City Council District 11.

LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS POSTS STRONG FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006

(Los Angeles, California – January 3, 2007) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) today released audited financial results for fiscal year 2006 (12 months ending June 30, 2006).

LAWA increased its total net assets by seven percent to $2.6 billion, an increase of $172.9 million over June 30, 2005. Net assets, the amount by which LAWA’s total assets (which include its buildings, land equipment, cash investments and all receivables) exceed its total liabilities, serve as the key indicator of LAWA’s strong financial position.

The contract totaling $795,300 covers sound-insulation modifications on 36 dwelling units comprised of 20 condominium units, one 10-unit apartment, one duplex, and four single-family dwellings located in Los Angeles City Council District 11.

LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO PURCHASE 30 ALTERNATIVE-FUEL BUSES AND TRUCKS
(Los Angeles, California – December 4, 2006) The Board of Airport Commissioners today approved the purchase of 30 alternative-fuel buses and trucks for use at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) as part of its ongoing commitment to replace existing gasoline-powered vehicles in the airport’s fleet with alternative-fuel vehicles when they reach the end of their useful service life.
