CONTRACT AWARDED FOR RESIDENTIAL SOUNDPROOFING NEAR LAX
(Los Angeles, California – September 18, 2006) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today awarded a contract to IMEX Construction & Development, Inc., Los Angeles, for a portion of the LAX Residential Soundproofing Program. The $920,656 contract covers sound insulation modifications on 27 single-family dwelling units located in Los Angeles City Council District 8.

(Los Angeles, California – September 18, 2006) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today awarded a $575,655,000 contract to Clark/McCarthy, a joint venture company based in Costa Mesa, Calif., for major interior renovations; installation of an in-line, checked-baggage security system; and a boarding gate for new large aircraft at the Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

LAX PYLONS RELIT TO COMMEMORATE SEPT. 11

(Los Angeles, CA – September 10, 2006) The landmark series of 26 colorfully lighted pylons at the Century Boulevard entrance to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) were relit tonight at 9:01 p.m. to begin the airport's commemoration of Sept. 11, 2001. The timing coincides with the start of 9-11 on the U.S. East Coast. The pylons are programmed red, white and blue and will remain on for 27 hours until midnight Monday, Sept. 11.

LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS RELEASES REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS FUEL STATION AT ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Ontario, California (August 28, 2006) --- Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) today released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fuel Station at Ontario International Airport (ONT). The proposed station will promote efficient and convenient use of clean fuel for vehicles operated by ONT and its tenants. The public will also have access to the on-airport station which will be close to local streets, highways and freeways, and open 24 hours a day.
