LAX Named Most Innovative Airport by American Association of Airport Executives
(Los Angeles, CA) – Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) is proud to announce that Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has been named the “Most Innovative Airport (large hub)" by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). The award, which is given as part of AAAE's Airport Innovation Awards for innovative developments that are a model for airports around the country, recognizes LAX for its new Shop and Dine digital marketplace developed in partnership with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield.

LAX BREAKS GROUND ON INTERMODAL TRANSPORTATION FACILITY - WEST, A KEY COMPONENT OF THE LANDSIDE ACCESS MODERNIZATION PROGRAM
(Los Angeles, CA) Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti joined Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) leadership and elected officials for a ceremonial groundbreaking for the Intermodal Transportation Facility – West (ITF-West), a key component of Los Angeles International Airport’s (LAX) Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP). Located between Westchester Parkway and 96th Street, the ITF-West, a parking structure and mobility hub, will be the first component of LAX’s modernization projects to be completed, opening in 2021. Two new roadways – Jetway Boulevard and 93rd Street – will provide direct access to the facility.

LAX Guests Reminded of Service Changes on Metro Green Line Starting This Weekend

LAX Celebrates World Music Day by Debuting Two Baby Grand Pianos for Passengers to Play
(Los Angeles, CA) In honor of World Music Day, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) held a musical celebration, "LAX Songs in the Key of Flight," in Terminal 7. As part of the event, airport officials also debuted two new Kawai G-40EP manual and self-playing baby grand pianos located in the Terminal 4 connector and on the Upper Level of Terminal 7.
